I just watched a video by a Grand Prairie teacher from the February GPISD school board meeting, and I have to say that everything she said is spot on. We must do better.
The teacher highlighted several issues in the education system, including the lack of support for teachers and the failure to address discipline in our schools. As someone who cares about education, I think it's crucial that we take these issues seriously and work to address them.
Teachers are the backbone of our education system, yet they often receive little support and recognition for the important work they do. We need to make sure that teachers are given the resources and support they need to do their jobs effectively. We have lost 306 staff members between August of 2022 and January of 2023. We must fix this.
